HOW IS A HAND-PULLED LINOLEUM BLOCK PRINT MADE?
First a drawing in pencil is made on a linoleum block. Then the image is carved out of the block. A
soy-based ink is rolled onto the remaining raised surfaces. A piece of mulberry paper is placed over the inked block and a bamboo leaf baren is used to rub and apply pressure to transfer the ink from the block to the paper. All parts of the process in this edition were completed by the artist. All nine prints in this portfolio are available in signed and numbered editions of 20, plus one artist proof.
